Honorary Patron

The Rt. Hon. Earl of Iveagh

The Guinness Choir is delighted that The Rt. Hon.  Earl of Iveagh has agreed to act as our Honorary Patron.  Also known as Edward Guinness, he is a direct descendant of the original Arthur Guinness, the founder, in 1759, of The Guinness Brewery.

Despite the recent changes in the company, through this patronage, we are very happy to maintain our link to the foundation of the Choir in the Brewery in 1951 and its development from a workplace society to its place as an independent choir in Irish music circles today.
